Join the Belgian Society of Medical Oncology in Antwerp for two days of scientific exchange, new insights and connection with colleagues from across the Belgian oncology community.

IMPORTANT DATES & DEADLINES

• Early October 2026 – abstract submission and registration open
• 18 December 2026 – abstract submission deadline.  Please note this deadline will not be extended.
• 4 January 2027 – LAST DAY to register for eligible BSMO Effective Members and Junior Members in Training wishing to benefit from a complimentary hotel room.  Membership dues for 2026 must have been paid by 30 September 2026.   Hotel rooms are subject to availability and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Week of 4 January 2027 – notifications to abstract authors will be sent
• 22 January 2027 – final registration and payment deadline for all participants

Registration is online only and the meeting will be held exclusively in person.

BSMO members are invited to register via the dedicated registration button in their myBSMO member dashboard.

Eligible BSMO Effective Members and Junior Members in Training are strongly advised to register by 4 January 2027 if they wish to benefit from a complimentary hotel room. After this date, complimentary accommodation can only be offered subject to remaining availability.

Final registration and payment deadline: 22 January 2027.

Registration categories

• BSMO effective members, junior members-in-training 2026 – Members whose 2026 membership dues were paid by 30 September 2026 are entitled to:
  • free participation in the scientific meeting;
  • free participation in the Friday evening social programme; and
  • one complimentary hotel night on Friday 29 January, including breakfast and city tax. Complimentary hotel accommodation is subject to availability and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Invited speakers
  Invited speakers are entitled to free participation in the scientific meeting and social programme, as well as complimentary hotel accommodation where applicable.
• BSMO Special Members
  Undergraduate students, emeritus members and associate members are entitled to free participation in the scientific meeting and social programme. No complimentary hotel accommodation is provided for Special Members. Those requiring accommodation should make their own arrangements and may book a hotel of their choice in Antwerp.
• Non-members
  Non-members are entitled to free participation in the scientific meeting. The Friday evening social programme is reserved for BSMO members. Non-members may request to be placed on a waiting list and will be notified if places become available. In that case, a fee of €90 per person will apply. No complimentary hotel accommodation is provided for non-members. Participants requiring accommodation should make their own hotel arrangements.
• Company representatives from companies not supporting the BSMO Annual Meeting 2027
  Company representatives may register to attend the general scientific sessions that are open to all participants. A registration fee of €250 per person, per day applies, with a maximum of two representatives per company. Participation in the Friday evening social programme is not permitted. No complimentary hotel accommodation is provided.

CALL FOR ORIGINAL SCIENCE ABSTRACTS

The submission deadline is 18 December 2026.

Due to the earlier timing of the 2027 BSMO Annual Meeting, the abstract submission deadline of 18 December 2026 will not be extended this year.  We therefore strongly encourage authors to prepare and submit their abstracts in good time.

BSMO Junior members, onco-coaches and researchers are invited to submit their innovative work, showcase it in Antwerp and compete for one of the BSMO abstract awards.

A Trial in Progress (TiP) category is also available.  TiP abstracts may be accepted for poster presentation only.  TiP posters are not eligible for the Best Poster Award and will not be published in the Belgian Journal of Medical Oncology – BJMO.

BSMO members’ networking evening – Friday, 29 January 2027

On Friday evening, BSMO members are invited to join us for the BSMO members’ Networking evening, including dinner, from 19:30 until midnight.

Places are limited.  Members wishing to attend must indicate their participation during the online registration procedure.
