• 5 January 2026: LAST DAY to register for BSMO effective and Junior MiT members (dues paid for 2025, before 30/09/2025) to take advantage of a complimentary hotel room > subject to availability, first-come, first-served.
• 12 January 2026 – extended deadline abstract submission 
• Week of 19 January 2026 – abstract notification letters sent
• 30 January 2026 – deadline registrations

It is only possible to register online.  The meeting will be held exclusively in person.

5  January: LAST DAY to register for BSMO effective and Junior MiT members (dues paid for 2025, before 30/09/2025) to take advantage of a complimentary hotel room > subject to availability, first-come, first-served.

After this date complimentary hotel rooms for BSMO members will be upon availability.

By 30 January: registration deadline and payment deadline for all.

Registration categories:

• BSMO effective members, junior members-in-training (dues paid for 2025, before 30/09/2025) and invited speakers are entitled to free participation in the scientific meeting + social programme and complimentary hotel room incl. breakfast and city tax on Friday night. Subject to availability. First-come, first-served.

• Special members 2025 (= undergraduate students, emeritus, associate members) are entitled to free participation in the scientific meeting + social programme .  No complimentary hotel reservation. Special members (excl. Junior MiT) must arrange for their personal hotel reservation. Information on hotels in the vicinity of Mix can be found here.

• NON-members are entitled to free participation in the scientific meeting. The Friday evening Social Programme is reserved for members only. Non-members may request to be placed on the waiting list and will be notified if space becomes available. In such cases, a fee of EUR 90.00 per person will apply. No complimentary hotel reservation. Non-members must arrange for their personal hotel reservation. Information on hotels in the vicinity of Mix can be found here.

• Company representatives of companies NOT supporting BSMO 2026 can sign up and attend the general scientific sessions that are open to all. However a fee of EUR 250,00 per day will be charged.  Participation in the social programme on Friday evening is not allowed.  No complimentary hotel reservation. Maximum 2 persons per company. CALL FOR ORIGINAL SCIENCE ABSTRACTS

Submission is now closed! The extended submission deadline was 12 January 2026.

BSMO Junior members, onco-coaches and researchers are invited to submit their innovative work, showcase it in Bruges and grab the chance to win an abstract-related award

A Trial in Progress (TiP) category is open for abstract submission.  TiP abstracts can be accepted for poster presentation only.  TiP posters will not be part of the voting for best poster award and will not be published in BJMO.

50th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION – Friday, 6 February 2026

On Friday evening, our members are invited to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of BSMO with a festive dinner and dance at Mix Brussels. The evening begins at 19:30 with a welcoming reception, followed by a seated dinner and a dance party to close the night in style. We look forward to making this a night to remember — a joyful tribute to five decades of excellence and collaboration in oncology.
