BSMO Annual Meeting 2018

Please click here for the announcement.

Friday 23 and Saturday 24 February 2018

We wish to invite and welcome you to the 20th Annual Meeting of the BSMO, a unique annual opportunity to gather as a community and exchange ideas and engage in cooperation. This occasion also marks the 40th anniversary of the BSMO.

These are exciting but also challenging times for the medical oncologist with quickly evolving treatments and getting treatments in a timely fashion to the right patients. Diagnostic and predictive marker determinations evolve rapidly and we should influence the implementation.

On Friday we have the general assembly for members only and two task force meetings. You do not have to be a member of these task forces to attend or contribute. On Saturday morning the symposium relates to several aspects of our profession with a balanced clinical and scientific mix. It is these scientific insights combined with compassionate patient care that make the medical oncologist.

Abstracts on any topic are welcome and you don’t have to be a junior member, as long as you feel like one. For educational purposes junior members will have priority for oral presentations.

The cases that will be presented will provide a time-lapse view of oncology. For all sessions a Q&A tool will be employed. Our special guest during the congress dinner will be Bert Kruismans who will entertain us with bilingual humor.

Don’t miss this festive evening at our 20th/40th anniversary! Looking forward to meet you at this exciting meeting on February 23 and 24!

Jacques De Grève,

BSMO President
